We are looking for a mature, experienced person who is very comfortable handling weanlings and sometimes "unruly" yearlings.
The farm is 70 acres and usually has about 40 to 50 horses. There are 13 stalls total in 2 barns. We have 12 turnouts with shelters. We breed for about 14 foals each year. Some for the race yearling market and some barrel horse prospects.
Duties include feeding and stall care, leading mares and foals in and out, fitting yearlings for sales, handling horses for shoeing and trimming, operating tractor for mowing, handling large bales of hay, etc.
There is also one other employee to work with.
We have a nice updated, 2 bedroom duplex with all utilities paid. Salary is negotiable. Only experienced horseman need apply.
