Circle Bar B Guest Ranch & Stables is seeking an experienced horseman for our guest ranch riding stables. We are seeking a person with experience in a guest ranch / riding stable business, that has great horse skills, along with great people skills. Circle Bar B Guest Ranch is located on the Pacific Coast, 30 minutes North of Santa Barbara. Our Ranch has stunning views, and a pleasant year around climate. There is room for growth and advancement with this position, with the potential of more responsibilities and accountability, along with increased pay.

Wrangler Responsibilities:

Lead engaging, safe horseback rides of 1.5 to 4 hours, showcasing breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean.
Manage all aspects of horse handling, including round-ups, pasturing, grooming, hoof care, saddling, feeding, and watering for our herd of 50 horses.
Maintain positive, respectful communication with guests, co-wranglers, the Head Wrangler, and the owner.
Provide pre-ride instructions on safe riding and horsemanship.
Assist guests with mounting and dismounting, adjusting tack, fitting helmets, and offering riding aid.
Perform barn management, including manure removal and stall cleaning.
Maintain gear, tack, and other equipment and document reservations, rides, and horse care accurately.
Ensure trail, fence, and corral maintenance while following safety procedures for guests, staff, and horses.
Greet and check in guests, ensuring proper completion of release forms and payment processing.

Wrangler Qualifications:

Significant experience with horses required, including tacking and untacking.
Ability to work in all weather conditions and maintain a positive attitude while on your feet or in the saddle.
Starting colts and riding green horses is a plus.
Knowledge and experience operating heavy equipment a plus.
Some public relations skills, including answering phones and booking horseback riding reservations.

Salary: $2,700/month net starting, plus housing, utilities, and cash tips (can be $500 per week or more). Room for advancement, with pay increase along with increased responsibilities and accountability.
