Experienced Ranch Hand Wanted
Sitz Angus Ranch – Dillon Division is seeking a dependable, self-motivated, and experienced individual to join our team near Dillon, Montana.
This position is ideal for someone with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and experience in both cattle operations and general ranch work. We are looking for a long-term team member who takes pride in their work and can work independently when needed.
Responsibilities
Cattle Handling
- Sorting, moving, and processing cattle
- AI and embryo work
- Shipping and receiving cattle
- Monitoring cattle health in feedlots and pastures
- Doctoring and treating livestock as needed
Equipment Operation
- Operating haying equipment
- Running feed trucks (occasionally)
- Operating bale processors
- Operating pay loaders and skid steers
General Ranch Duties
- Flood irrigation
- Fence construction and repair
- General ranch maintenance
- Welding (a plus, but not required)
Qualifications
- Previous ranching and livestock experience required
- Experience with hay production and flood irrigation preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Honest, dependable, and self-motivated
- CDL is a plus, but not required
- We use horses regularly, but this is not a full-time riding position
