Experienced Ranch Hand Wanted

Sitz Angus Ranch – Dillon Division is seeking a dependable, self-motivated, and experienced individual to join our team near Dillon, Montana.

This position is ideal for someone with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and experience in both cattle operations and general ranch work. We are looking for a long-term team member who takes pride in their work and can work independently when needed.

Responsibilities

Cattle Handling

  • Sorting, moving, and processing cattle
  • AI and embryo work
  • Shipping and receiving cattle
  • Monitoring cattle health in feedlots and pastures
  • Doctoring and treating livestock as needed

Equipment Operation

  • Operating haying equipment
  • Running feed trucks (occasionally)
  • Operating bale processors
  • Operating pay loaders and skid steers

General Ranch Duties

  • Flood irrigation
  • Fence construction and repair
  • General ranch maintenance
  • Welding (a plus, but not required)

Qualifications

  • Previous ranching and livestock experience required
  • Experience with hay production and flood irrigation preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Honest, dependable, and self-motivated
  • CDL is a plus, but not required
  • We use horses regularly, but this is not a full-time riding position
