A long established family farm in Marshal, California is seeking a full time person to manage their cattle and poultry operation.
This position is responsible for the daily care of animals, maintenance of structures, and planning of the McClelland Livestock Company. This business currently consists of approximately 100 pair of Angus beef cows, up to 12,000 head of laying hens, a flock of ducks and the sustainable management of over 1300 acres of land. All animals and land is managed organically.

Responsibilities:
Daily Feeding and watering
Calving assistance as needed
Building and Repairing fence
Operation of light equipment/tractors
Managing manure
Planting crops
Vaccination, castration, ear-tagging, and branding cattle
Daily collection of eggs and delivery to distribution center

Qualities Needed:
Must be able to work well on your own
Self Starter – evaluate tasks that need to be accomplished, foresee upcoming needs & do accordingly.
Must be able to drive a tractor
Previous experience with cattle and/or poultry
