Snake River Sporting Club is a luxury retreat spanning nearly 1,000 acres, featuring a private golf club, residences, vacation rentals, an equestrian center, first-rate fishing, and a working ranch. The property includes a world-class Tom Weiskopf–designed golf course, ranked second in the state. POSITION SUMMARY
The Wrangler is responsible for daily horse care, trail rides, riding instruction when applicable, and ranch operations. The program includes approximately 20 trail horses and 10 boarded horses. Candidates with irrigation, mechanical, heavy equipment, and trailering experience are strongly preferred.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Daily care, handling, saddling, conditioning, and basic training of horses
- Ride and work green or young horses as needed
- Lead safe, engaging trail rides and provide exceptional guest service
- Instruct riding lessons when applicable
- Maintain tack, equipment, barns, and riding areas
- Assist with fencing, pasture care, irrigation, and repairs
- Operate ranch equipment and assist with mechanical upkeep
- Safely haul and confidently back horse trailers
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven horsemanship experience and confident riding ability
- Strong communication and guest service skills
- Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions
- Reliable, hardworking, and team-oriented mindset
Must be 21+
STRONGLY PREFERRED
- Irrigation system experience
- Mechanical and heavy equipment operation experience
- Horse trailer hauling and backing experience
- Experience riding green horses
