Farm & Animal Care Position – Veterans Encouraged to Apply

Location: Harrodsburg, KY
Position Type: Full-time (flexible)

We are a private farm and animal sanctuary seeking a dependable, hardworking individual with handyman skills to assist with daily operations. Veterans are strongly encouraged to apply. Mandatory Drug Testing/Background check. We have no cows or horses. NO VISAS.

This is hands-on, physical work in a quiet rural setting—ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, staying active, and being part of something meaningful.

About the Work:

⦁ Property maintenance, including use of chainsaws, weed eaters, mowers, and tractors
⦁ Assisting with general farm labor (lifting, moving materials, upkeep)
⦁ Light cleaning in buildings and maintaining safe, healthy environments
⦁ Some involvement caring for animals

What We’re Looking For:

⦁ Strong work ethic and reliability
⦁ Comfortable with physical labor and working in all weather conditions
⦁ Calm, patient, and respectful around animals
⦁ Able to work independently
⦁ Proficient with chainsaws, weed eaters, mowers, and tractors (Bobcat experience is a plus)
⦁ Must be able to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment such as chainsaws, weed eaters, mowers, and tractors when they break
⦁ Ability to repair larger equipment and farm vehicles, including Kubota RTVs, is a strong plus
⦁ Prior farm experience is required
⦁ Daily communication with owner
