Responsibilities may include:

  • Feeding, watering, and caring for livestock
  • Checking animals daily and identifying potential issues
  • Moving and handling livestock as needed
  • Cleaning stalls, pens, shelters, feeders, and waterers
  • Haying and distributing hay/feed
  • Loading and unloading feed, hay, supplies, and equipment
  • Maintaining and repairing fencing, gates, and animal enclosures
  • Mowing, weed whacking, brush clearing, and general landscaping
  • Maintaining pastures and farm roads
  • Operating tractors, mowers, UTVs, and other farm equipment
  • Basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Completing minor repairs around the farm
  • Fixing problems as they arise and being able to think on your feet
  • Keeping barns, work areas, equipment, and the property clean and organized
  • Removing debris and completing general property maintenance
  • Assisting with building, repair, and improvement projects
  • Helping prepare for seasonal weather and farm needs
  • Picking up feed, materials, or supplies when needed
  • Assisting with deliveries and moving farm products or materials
  • Following animal-care and farm safety procedures
  • Communicating any animal, equipment, fencing, or property concerns promptly
  • Helping with other farm-related tasks as needed

Schedule: Hours will vary based on the needs of the farm. Weekend availability is required, as livestock care and farm responsibilities continue seven days a week.

We’re looking for someone who is reliable, self-motivated, physically capable, and willing to work hard. You should be comfortable working outside in heat, cold, rain, and other changing weather conditions.

The ideal person can work independently, notices when something needs to be done without always being told, and is willing to jump in wherever help is needed.

Previous experience with livestock, tractors/farm equipment, fencing, landscaping, construction, mechanical work, or general maintenance is required.
