Farm/Grove experienced individual, to assist with managing, growing and production of an 80 acre ranch with both organic and non-organic avocado, citrus and specialty crops.
The candidate will be responsible for cultural and operational aspects of managing the trees and production. Knowledge of AGRONOMY is necessary.
The candidate will supervise a foreman and two workers. SPANISH speaking candidate preferred. Knowledge of irrigation, fertilizers, soil amendments, pest control, and equipment use is necessary.
The individual will have the opportunity to participate in Sales and Marketing to the Wholesale Fresh Fruit Trade and help develop local Farmers Markets. The individual will report directly to the owner.
Much of the time the applicant will be working along side laborers in the fresh air surrounded by a beautiful pastoral environment.
