We are looking for someone to help with flood irrigation, harvesting of barley, wheat, corn, hay and sugar beets. The successful applicant will help process and manage a 275 pair cattle herd and a winter feedlot operation of 600-800 head of calves.
This position pays $1800 to $2500 DOE per month plus housing, utilities, work vehicle, up to one beef per year and one week paid vacation after 6 months.
The work week is 6 days and will include Sundays at times, especially during harvests. The farming takes up 80% of the time and the ranching 20%.
Wrangling is mostly on an ATV. An applicant MUST have a valid drivers license and it MUST be in your possession.
The successful applicant must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and be capable of hard, physical labor in any weather. Experience preferred in operation of 4-wheelers, 10, 13, +15 speed tandem axle farm trucks, JD and Case tractors, and pickups with manual transmissions.
Experience also preferred in cattle management and in irrigation.
