IRAM ~ Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary
Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary is a large horse rescue organization located in Southwestern South Dakota. We operate on over 11,000 acres and several hundred horses in our care.
The job is primarily ranch work with additional horse care. Operate modern farm equipment feed, give care, handle horses and cattle.
This job requires a hard- working, experienced, smart, physically fit, honest, trustworthy horse professional that makes wise decisions, works well with people, and one who loves horses and will always put their care first. Training skills are helpful. This job is for an individual who understands our mission and who will represent our organization positively with our clients, supporters, donors and volunteers.
The compensation package includes housing and we pay all the utilities. You have a work truck to drive for work-related activities. If you have a horse it can stay at the ranch.
You will purchase supplies, fuel, etc. and sign for the ranch. There are very rewarding long-term opportunities for a highly qualified, dedicated individual with a genuine passion for our ranch, the land and the horses. Hot Springs is located in the southern black hills with canyons walled with red rock.
There are good schools, and the town hosts a quality life. There is a hospital, medical clinic, pharmacy, grocery store, restaurants, convenience stores, etc.
