Private Ranch
Farm hand wanted on farm/ranch, Lewistown, MT area. We raise cattle, hay, and wheat. This is a small-scale operation and we use older equipment.
Work varies by season, and can include: haying, maintenance of buildings and equipment, seeding, spraying, fencing, moving and checking cows, calving, harvest, yard work, mowing, cleaning barns and outbuildings, spreading manure, and other general ranch chores.
Some of the work will be menial and entry-level. Other jobs, such as moving and checking cattle and some fencing, will be done by horseback, so basic riding ability is a plus. However, riding is only a small part of the job.
The ranch is a drug, alcohol, and tobacco free workplace. Hunting is not allowed on ranch property. Housing is not provided, but wages are negotiable and depend on experience.
This is not a management position. Recent experience in farming and ranching is required, as are resume, references, and a valid and insurable driver’s license.
