We are currently seeking a full-time employee on our family-owned Dryland Farm/Ranch. This is a very diverse operation and requires a diverse individual. THIS IS NOT A COWBOY JOB.
This job will require a person that has, or is willing to learn, a broad range of skills. We raise wheat, pulses, hay, beef cattle and grass yearlings. Employees will be required to seed, harvest, drive truck, fix fence, calve, feed, operate, maintain/repair haying and farm equipment, and fix more fence. That being said, no day is the same and you will have a variety of jobs to complete.
The applicant we are looking for needs to be able to work ALONE and be HONEST. We will train and work with the right candidate. We have 4 young children that also help on the ranching side of the operation. That being said, this can be a very educational and enjoyable job for the right person.
Jobseeker must be highly self-motivated, willing to work long hours on their own. You will not be babysat, so self-reliance will be a major asset for anyone applying. All applicants will go through a background check and a probationary period along with needing to pass a mandatory drug test. Housing provided (apartment) but is most suited for a single or a couple with no children. (Other benefits may be given after probationary period is met.)
