Bates Creek Cattle Company
Bates Creek Cattle Company, a family ranch about 25 miles south of Casper, Wyoming, is looking for a long-term, full-time person to help us with the haying side of our operation.
We run about 1,100 head of Angus cattle and put up about 2,000 tons of hay, mostly in round bales, to feed them over the winter. We have 2 center pivot sprinklers, but still do quite a bit of flood irrigating.
The job includes maintaining and repairing equipment, pivot maintenance, equipment operation, irrigating, and haying. This position may also include periodic cow work like brandings, trailing cows, vaccinating later in the summer, weaning, shipping, feeding in the winter, and calving heifers in the spring.
We use horses and ATVs to get the job done. An experienced person is preferred, but we are willing to train the right individual.
Salary: $2,000/month depending on experience + food, housing, health care, and more
