Merrill's Family Farm
We are looking for someone to join our team and to contribute to the growth and success of a beautiful vision. The property boasts beautiful Sopris views and is abundant with life. We embrace and are inspired by nature and our connection with it. The property hosts horses with a holistically managed boarding operation for horses, pastured pigs, cows, chickens, and rabbits. There are gardens and this summer we will be creating more gardens for plans of a CSA the following year. The property also provides creative spaces for craftsman and artists to be inspired by and to work with elements from nature.
We are looking for hard working, reliable, honest person to be a part of the team and contribute their skills, heart, and mind to this vision. The position is for a full time ranch employee who is career oriented. Someone who enjoys working living in the beautiful Mountains with a passionate hands-on team. We appreciated self-starters with an open mind willing to learn. This individual would help with feeding, watering, pen cleaning of horses, and livestock. We encourage at least 2 years experience working around horses. An individual who has done fencing and is mechanic inclined is very desired. Comfortable around horses, cattle, and pigs. Experience with haying, operating equipment, welding, and handy man skills are a real plus. We have a vision that includes everything from a large permaculture project, intensive grazing, pasture management, fencing, caring for horses and livestock.
This position is open now and potentially can be seasonal but would prefer long term. Room is possible for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:
Feeding and watering horses, cows, pigs
Cleaning 9 horse stalls and paddocks
Watering vegetable production
Possible greenhouse management and construction
Irrigation management
Fencing construction and maintenace
Rotating animals on pastures
Construction projects
Barn maintenance
Vehicle maintenance
