Description of the Operation:
This grow yard is located in Scott County, in southwest Kansas. Our operating capacity is 3,000 head with plans to expand in the future. We are located approximately 30 miles northeast of Garden City, Kansas. Our main focus is to grow quality beef that is prepared to thrive in a feed yard.
Position: Yard Assistant / Pen Rider
Responsibilities:
Dry Lake Feeders is searching for an employee that will assist with riding pens, processing and doctoring cattle, feeding cattle, and operating the feed mill and equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to gain a wide range of experience in the cattle and feed yard industry. Due to the size of our operation candidates must be willing to assist with all aspects of feed yard operations.

- Cattle Handling Skills
- Knowledge of Animal Health
- Experience doctoring sick cattle
- Know how to operate heavy equipment
- We are willing to work with and train candidates with a good work ethic and a desire to learn and grow with our operation
