O'Hare Ranch
O’Hare Ranch is a progressive livestock operation in North Central Nebraska seeking a self motivated individual to oversee the backgrounding feedlot enterprise and assist with ranching operations. Responsibilities would include day to day activities involved with a small/medium size feedlot.
Duties:
- General upkeep of operating facilities
- Checking pens, pulling, and doctoring sick cattle.
- Pen maintenance – cable fence and gates, waterers, manure removal
- Receiving and processing new cattle
- Occasionally share feeding responsibilities
- Assist with ranching activities as needed
Qualifications:
- Feedlot experience is preferred; general livestock experience is a plus but willing to train the right individual.
- Self-motivation and flexibility are important for this position as with many small operations day to day activities change often.
- Clean driving history with the ability to be insured for company vehicles is required
- Good communication skills and the ability to work with others to complete tasks
- Basic computer/iPad knowledge is a plus for feeding and record keeping
