Vera Earl Feed Co
Vera Earl Feed Co is a division of Vera Earl Ranch – located in Sonoita, Arizona – that backgrounds new purchases of cattle, weans the ranch calves and feeds to fat that cattle for the farm to table beef company. The grow yard has a capacity of 5,000.
We are looking for a hard working, dependable, detail-oriented person who is, most importantly, willing to learn to, join the Vera Earl team. The job requires someone who can lead others and isn’t afraid of hard work.
The job entails managing a feed truck driver and laborer. It also requires maintaining and riding a string of 3 to 5 home raised horses. Must be able to drive a feed truck for emergencies and operate large machinery.
The applicant must have some experience in everything needed to run and operate a feedlot; bunk reading, calling feed, identifying and doctoring sick cattle, implant programs, feeding fat cattle.
We can teach the right person anything needed to do the job as well, if he/she is willing to learn. Pay is dependent on experience, but benefits include ranch housing, 1/2 beef per year, health insurance and paid time off.
