Located in northeastern Washington State, Bull Hill Guest Ranch sits at the foothills of the majestic Rocky Mountains, near British Columbia, Canada. Sweeping panoramic views of neighboring Idaho, Lake Roosevelt, and Canada provide a backdrop setting that is one of the most picturesque in the Pacific Northwest. Opened in 1995, Bull Hill Guest Ranch is part of a large working cattle ranch that dates back to 1903. Rich in history and tradition, the ranch today has become a favored destination for families, corporate retreats, and outdoor adventurers who are looking for authentic western living amidst the tall pines and cedars.

We are looking for a friendly and professional individual with a strong work ethic and the ability to show up for work on time at 6:30am. Our guides are ready for a physically demanding outdoor job and are able to provide top-notch customer service.

Job Details:

  • Position: Wrangler (Horseback Guide)
  • Ranch: Bull Hill Guest Ranch
  • Location: Kettle Falls, Washington
  • Wages/Pay: $2,400.00 / month + tips
  • Season Commitment: May – October
  • Start Date: May 14th
  • Schedule: 1 day off per week, late start on Sundays
  • Benefits: On-site room and board, competitive salary plus tips

Job Requirements:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must have legal permission to work in the United States
  • Must have horsemanship experience
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must feel comfortable taking 4-6 novice riders on a trail ride
  • Must be able to saddle horses and lift Western saddles
  • Will be involved in cattle work/drives
  • Must be safety conscious and able to instruct guests in riding instruction and give a clear safety orientation
  • Must be able to work in a team environment, think for themselves, and handle emergency situations

Candidate Requirements:

  • Good work ethic and ability to show up on time
  • Physically fit and able to handle a physically demanding outdoor job
  • Able to provide top-notch customer service
  • Ability to lead other activities, including trap shooting (training included), kids games, and hiking
  • Ability to maintain and repair tack, clean the barn area, deep clean the barn weekly, and perform other duties as necessary

Willingness to bartend in the evenings (bartender training is provided and experience is a plus) make cocktails, create the playlist, and enjoy entertaining guests during the evening.

Personal horses are allowed.
Well behaved pet is allowed.

We are looking for one more wrangler to round out our team for the 2023 season. This is not the right fit for a rough cowboy, rather an entertainer who wants to share their love of western culture and take care of folks.
