Flying Cloud Ranch
We are looking for a couple to be the full-time caretakers of our family-owned ranch in Wise River, Montana. The Flying Cloud Ranch is 160 acres and is surrounded by National Forest. The Wise River borders one side of the property and the Sheep Creek goes right through it.
The regular ranch operation duties include:
- Ranch security and oversight.
- Maintaining all buildings and equipment.
- Opening cabins in the spring and winterizing them in the fall.
- Irrigating hay fields and haying the first week of August. (Once a year)
- Maintaining jack and lodge-pole fencing around property.
- Winter feeding of approximately 8 horses twice a day.
- Helping with ranch projects.
- Maintaining grounds and lawn around cabins.
- Represent the Flying Cloud Ranch brand.
