Required Qualifications:
- Experience and demonstrated ability with generalized maintenance and upkeep of cabins, barns, and facilities.
- Experience and demonstrated ability with carpentry.
- Experience and basic understanding of plumbing and electrical.
- Experience and demonstrated ability of supervision and coordination of specialized sub-contractors when needed.
- Experience and demonstrated ability to use a skid loader.
- Experience and demonstrated ability to use and maintain a chainsaw.
- Must be a self-starter and have the capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and perform physical labor.
- Must be able to successfully complete a criminal records check.
- Applicants must have no drug or alcohol abuse concerns.
Responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited To:
- Conducting daily inspections of the property and facilities to identify and resolve maintenance or security issues.
- Performing regular cleaning and upkeep of all grounds, including irrigation, landscaping, and maintenance.
- Conduct property improvements: fencing, irrigation, felling trees, roofing, rodent proofing, etc.
- Coordinating with the Executive Director for large maintenance projects and renovations.
- Coordinate, log, and ensure quality control or onsite contractor visits.
- Maintain an organized inventory of supplies and equipment.
- – – Maintaining and repairing when needed.
- – – Restocking when needed.
- Reporting any significant issues to the Executive Director.
Ideal Candidates:
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to accomplish tasks without direct management or oversite.
- Previous experience in carpentry, welding, mechanical components, plumbing, and basic electrical are strong assets.
- Previous experience working on a farm and around cattle.
- Must be able to work independently and safely.
- Physical ability to perform demanding tasks, including lifting and outdoor work.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with a basic understanding of how to use technology to support business functions.
