Looking for a full-time, highly experienced Senior Ranch Foreman to manage and maintain a ranch in Kerrville, Texas. This is a single-person role, not a crew. Must be able to work independently, follow priorities, handle a wide range of ranch duties, and communicate clearly.

This is a year-round, full-time position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Land & Vegetation Management
  • Mowing pastures
  • Cedar clearing
  • Chainsaw work
  • Brush management and burn piles
  • Tree trimming and cleanup
  • Weed control and spraying
  • Seasonal land-management tasks

Equipment Operation & Maintenance

  • Skilled operation of skid steer
  • Skilled operation of excavator
  • Road maintenance
  • Basic mechanical repairs on equipment, UTVs, and tools
  • Ranch truck/UTV operation (returned daily)
  • Tool care and upkeep

Wildlife & Ranch Management

  • Fill and maintain deer feeders
  • Check game camera cameras
  • Assist with wildlife-exemption tasks
  • Hog trapping and general predator awareness
  • Maintain water systems

Infrastructure / Ranch Upkeep

  • Fence repair and fence building
  • Irrigation and sprinkler line repairs
  • Minor plumbing repairs
  • Minor electrical repairs
  • Maintaining sheds and barns
  • Security checks around ranch perimeter
  • Rock work
  • Home & Property Support (as needed)

Interior and exterior painting

  • Small home-repair tasks
  • Drainage fixes
  • General handyman projects when requested

Requirements:

  • 5+ years ranch experience preferred
  • Physically fit and able to perform manual labor outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Experience operating heavy equipment (skid steer, excavator, etc.)
  • Able to prioritize tasks without daily supervision
  • Comfortable working alone most days
  • Basic English required
  • Able to interact respectfully with contractors on-site
  • Must return ranch truck each day
  • Can be on call for emergencies
  • Pass a basic background check

Schedule:

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week
  • Monday through Friday
  • On-call availability for urgent issues (storm damage, gates, water)
