JOB SUMMARY

The Wrangler (Livery) Supervisor assists in the day-to-day operation of the Livery and will act as the supervisor on duty in the absence of the Livery Managers.

Wage: $19.00 per hour
Position Type: Full-Time, Year-Round

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum two years supervisory experience in a livery, dude ranch, or riding stable operation.
  • Working knowledge and experience with riding livestock, preferably mules, and tack-associated guest riding operations.
  • Ability to train personnel in handling of stock, safety, and customer service.
  • Ability to interact with guests and staff in a professional manner.
  • Ability to assess the riding skills and abilities of guests that plan to participate in a mule ride.
  • Possess or obtain valid Arizona drivers license and comply with Xanterra South Rim Company Vehicle Policy.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with ability to speak clearly and concisely to groups of people, as well as to communicate effectively by radio.
  • Ability to assess and effectively utilize the stock in daily operation of the livery.
  • Basic veterinary skills in the doctoring of mules.
