In the heart of Texas Hill Country we have a 86ac “ranch” we are taking in rescue horses that are being rehabilitated and retrained to become trail horses, and we offer day rides and overnight stays in the three cabins that are on the property. Currently we have 32 head of horses and 10 cattle, and the mandatory dogs, cats and chickens. We are a family operation that since we started 10 years ago, have now grown to one of Texas most rewarded Horseback riding operation. We will always stay small scale and high quality. In order to do this, we will need your help.

Goodhearted, honest and hard working with the exceptional combination of excellent customer service and horsemanship skills, you will excel! If you have interest in training horses, we are happy to bring you that direction, but it is not a requirement, and you are not required to “break” horses. Your main job is to conduct guided trail ride independently, but occasionally we will need help with Hospitality and other ranch chores. We operate year around, but peak season for Guided Trail rides is March-May and October-December. On low season we are doing more Ranch Work and Training of horses. We also want to see that you are comfortable stepping in to care for the ranch yourself

Starting salary is $2,400 and includes accommodation in a 5^th wheel that is on the ranch. This position offers room to grow. Both in natural horsemanship training and Ranch Management.

Minimum 2 years of experience of guiding trail rides
Must clear drug test
Able to do outdoor work in hot conditions
Passionate about Horses and Cowboy Culture
Great Horsemanship skills
Excellent Customer Service skills
Physically fit and willing to ride both easy and challenging horses
Self-motivated and reliable
Knowledge of operating farm equipment, mainly tractor and hauling livestock
A drive of meticulous of care for the horses
Knowledge of basic vetting of farm animals and in particular horses

We can offer boarding for your own horse, but at work the ranch horses will be used. Pets are allowed for a deposit.
