About the Position

The General Manager (GM) serves as the chief executive, reporting directly to the President of the Management Committee. The GM oversees all daily operations, including facilities, amenities, resident services, staffing, finance, land management, and capital projects.

The GM will prepare and manage the annual operating and capital budgets, direct long-term capital projects and permitting, and act as the primary liaison with homeowners, contractors, staff, and government officials.

  • Lead all Ranch operations: facilities, amenities, staff, land management, and resident services
  • Oversee preparation and management of annual budgets; ensure transparency in reporting
  • Direct and monitor capital projects, including permitting, construction, and agency relations
  • Establish and uphold service standards to deliver exceptional experiences
  • Recruit, motivate, and mentor a high-performing team
  • Foster strong relationships with homeowners, contractors, and community leaders
  • Preserve the Ranch’s western heritage while advancing its long-term vision and sustainability

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven leadership in complex, multi-faceted operations (ranch, resort, or private club)
  • Expertise in capital project planning, permitting, and financial stewardship
  • Strong financial and business acumen, with demonstrated success in budget oversight
  • Ability to thrive in a mountain environment with seasonal fluctuations
  • Hands-on, service-oriented leadership style that motivates staff and builds homeowner confidence
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • A passion for tradition, innovation, and long-term sustainability
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; certifications such as CCM, CCE, PCAM, CMCA, or LCAM are a plus

Compensation

We offers a competitive compensation package, commensurate with experience and the region, including housing on the Ranch as part of the plan.
