About the Role
We are seeking a dependable, hardworking Ranch Hand to support the day-to-day operations of our growing ranch. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working outdoors, caring for livestock, maintaining ranch infrastructure, and taking pride in keeping a property running efficiently.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, adaptable, and willing to assist with a variety of ranch duties, including livestock care, fencing, gardening, equipment operation, grounds maintenance, and general ranch improvements.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
- Feed, water, and monitor livestock daily, including cattle, poultry, and other ranch animals.
- Observe animals for signs of illness, injury, or distress and report concerns promptly.
- Assist with livestock handling, movement, sorting, treatments, and general animal husbandry.
- Build, repair, and maintain fences, gates, corrals, and other ranch infrastructure.
- Perform general ranch maintenance, including repairs to buildings, equipment, and facilities.
- Operate and maintain tractors, utility vehicles, mowers, and other ranch equipment.
- Support gardening and crop production activities, including planting, watering, weeding, harvesting, and soil preparation.
- Maintain ranch grounds by mowing, trimming, clearing brush, and keeping the property presentable.
- Haul feed, supplies, tools, and materials as needed throughout the ranch.
- Assist with irrigation systems, water lines, and stock tanks.
- Help with seasonal projects, construction tasks, and property improvements.
- Keep equipment, workshops, barns, and storage areas clean and organized.
- Follow ranch safety procedures and contribute to a safe working environment.
- Perform other ranch duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Previous ranch, farm, livestock, landscaping, construction, or outdoor labor experience preferred.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to tackle a variety of tasks.
- Basic knowledge of livestock handling and animal care is a plus.
- Ability to safely operate or learn to operate ranch equipment and tools.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding work throughout the day.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Reliable transportation and excellent attendance.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team.
- Honest, dependable, and committed to maintaining high standards.
- Comfortable working 40+ hours per week, including occasional weekends or seasonal demands.
