We are seeking a motivated, self-driven and energetic Groundskeeper to join our Ranch and vineyard team but dedicated to creating and maintaining beautiful and sustainable outdoor spaces. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining landscaped areas, ensuring the health and beauty of lawns, gardens, fountains, lighting and other green spaces. This position offers the opportunity to further develop your skills in landscaping and horticulture while working in an environment that values growth and excellence.
Duties
- Maintain healthy lawns and gardens through proper watering, fertilizing, aerating, and weed control techniques.
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, edging, and pruning using hand tools and power tools.
- Assist with irrigation system installation, and maintenance including troubleshooting and repair to ensure optimal water distribution.
- Use various hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete landscaping projects.
- Support green space design, soil preparation, planting, mulching, and sustainable horticultural practices to promote plant health and beauty.
- Conduct regular inspections of landscaped areas to identify issues such as pests or disease, broken or inadequate irrigation, broken lighting and address them promptly.
- Collaborate with ranch team members on pasture development and general ranch and vineyard operations as needed.
Requirements
- Prior experience or strong interest and knowledge in irrigation systems, landscape maintenance, gardening or horticulture.
- Knowledge of lawn care techniques including mowing, fertilizing, aeration, and pest management.
- Ability to safely operate hand tools such as shovels, pruners, rakes as well as power tools like mowers, trimmers and blowers.
- Familiarity with landscaping principles and land management practices.
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.
- Excellent physical stamina for outdoor work in the various central Texas weather conditions; ability to stand, walk, bend and lift for extended periods.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work well both independently and within a team environment.

Salary: Pay: $16.00 – $18.00 per hour; option to increase rate and / or convert to salary once trust and excellence is established.
