Canyon Adventures is currently looking to fill the position of: Head Wrangler

We are a summer seasonal horseback ride operation, taking one and two hour rides into the Gallatin National Forest. We cater to the general public, taking out people who frequently have never had this type of experience before, and letting them see the beauty of our backyard. The position will start on May 1st and continue through September 15th.

We are looking for someone who is organized, professional, and out-going, with experience working both in the horse and customer service industries. This person must be comfortable managing people, running an office, multi-tasking, and interacting with the general public –especially children. It is a leadership and management position, so he or she must be able to creatively problem solve and have a good deal of patience.

As far as the horse program, our ideal candidate will have experience riding and handling horses on the ground, mending saddles, and caring for horses. Preferably (though not required), our candidate would also have some experience riding and working with green horses. We treat our horses like family, and would expect the same from any of our employees.

On a daily basis, the job description could include anything from taking reservations, to helping our guests get ready to ride, to saddling horses, to barn chores, to taking out a ride. Someone flexible, hard-working, and always willing to come to work with a great attitude is a must. We are a small, family-operated company who provides the ability to ride in beautiful country and work with some great people!
