Head Wrangler/Ranch Hand needed
Recreational ranch near Wheatland, WY seeking a well-rounded head wrangler. Responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of our seasonal riding program and year-round horse herd management. Knowledge of pasture management, irrigating and haying, equine degree or certification (CHA, etc.) a bonus.
The head wrangler will be responsible for managing 3-5 seasonal wranglers, 75-130 privately and ranch owned horses, billing and record keeping. Maintenance of horses, barns, tack, equipment and fencing is required. Irrigation, lawn care, haying, light construction, painting, community BBQ prep/cleanup are some of the additional tasks that may be required.
This full time seasonal position (Feb 1 – Oct 31) is available immediately and could work into a year round position for the right person.
Salary depending on experience. Housing, utilities and internet are provided.
