Diversified farm/ranch looking for employee to oversee cattle operation.
Duties:
-Calving a mainly May/June cow herd (tagging, pairing out in a sandhills calving system, mothering up pairs, etc)
-Developing and implementing a rotational grazing system
-Keeping grazing records
-Figuring and implementing feed rations, mineral program, fly control program
-Maintaining fences
-Supplement feeding in winter
-Recognizing and doctoring sick animals
-Fenceline weaning calves
Compensation:
-Will pay TOP dollar for honest, dependable, experienced person.
-House, utilities, beef, work vehicle
Fun and energetic working environment
Owners do not believe in “micro-managing”
Most of the work is done on ATVs and side by side. Not opposed to horses in certain situations but none used at this time.
