Historic SouthTexas cattle ranch is seeking an experienced Herdsman/Foreman for its cow/calf operation near Gonzales, Texas.
Candidates must have verifiable experience with cattle, maintenance and operation of ranch equipment, and ranch infrastructure such as watering systems, fencing and other matters attendant to the requirements of a growing cattle operation. A genuine ability and desire to pay attention to detail with respect to the ranch, livestock, and other persons on the ranch, 24/7, is a must.
This is a full time job with excellent potential for an experienced, responsible person who is seeking a long term position in an organized, disciplined and congenial cattle operation.
This is a position for someone who wants to be a “Stockman” as opposed to a “Cowboy”. This position will provide a ranch lifestyle with very good nearby schools and small town conveniences.
Housing is provided and salary is competitive. Time off/vacations are flexible and will be planned in advance, but always subject to the requirements and needs of the ongoing cattle operations.
