Assist with the daily management of a growing cow/calf operation in Central Florida
Requirements:
B.S. degree in Animal Science or related field and minimum 1 year hands on experience or H.S. diploma with minimum 5 years hands on experience; valid driver’s license; cattle management skills; basic equipment skills and minor repairs of tractors, feed wagons, trailers, balers, rakes, spreaders, etc.
Description:
Routine feeding of forages, grains and supplements; perform routine herd health procedures such as tagging, fly control, deworming, branding; diagnose and treat minor health problems such as pink eye; scours, injuries; maintain records on cattle and equipment; assist with all aspects of pasture management including weed and invasive plant control, fertilizing, rotational grazing, cutting and baling hay; management of ranch barns, buildings, and fencing, assist with maintenance of all related trucks and equipment including oil changes, tires, belts, filters, blade sharpening, etc.; any other related activities of ranch operations as may be required.
