Lil' Buckaroo Ranch
We need a person with some horse knowledge to live on site and care for 12 horses.
Feed, clean, water twice daily. Happy, healthy, gentle horses of all breeds, most former rescues.
We are an older couple with a very small ranch. We share our horses with children who cannot have a horse of their own. Our little club teaches life lessons through horses and ranch work. We are a non-profit. We receive no funding. Living quarter is a 26' clean travel trailer, wi-fi, cable tv, elec provided.
Chores at 6:00 a.m. and 6 p.m. time during day for an 8 hour outside job. You must have a source of income as this is trade for rent. We will pay $50 a week if work and living space is regularly maintained, or we take that money and pay someone else to maintain your space for you. We have some miscellaneous work available at $10 hr. cash to be scheduled usually at helpers convenience.
References and background check required. Due to the nature of our program and the family and children in our club, we are zero tolerance for drugs and alcohol.
This is a most important job as we are not a "facility" we are just grandma and grandpas home with a yard full of horses…doing a good thing and in need of a like minded person to help. Our helpers are treated like family and we always hope for someone long term.
