Seeking a non-smoking dedicated, conscientious caretaker for a 75 acre Hill Country property. Must be able to handle horses and operate and maintain equipment. Responsibilities include managing a 5 stall barn and caring for 4-8 horses (feeding, mucking stalls, picking hooves, washing feed and water buckets, blanketing when needed, sweeping/blowing barn alley, organizing tack and tools, stacking hay etc.) and groundskeeping – mowing, weed-eating, filling animal feeders, watering newly established trees, trimming low branches, occasionally cutting/splitting dead oak trees and winterizing plumbing.
Equipment includes, but may not be limited to, skid loader, truck, tractor, mower, wood splitter, light tower, golf cart, UTV, attachments such as forks, shredder, backhoe, fertilizer spreader, arena groomer, etc.
Property is located along the beautiful Guadalupe River between Boerne and Comfort, Texas. The job is 6 days a week with use of a small RV as a residence/bunkhouse. Utilities, Wi-Fi and cellphone provided. Cost shared medical and dental insurance available after 90 days. Salary: $500-$750/week based on experience.
