Beautiful, serene horse ranch located in Quail Canyon / Vacaville hills between San Francisco and Sacramento is seeking a caretaker for grounds, animal care and agriculture operations.
Job duties include:
- Feed horses – 2
- Stall and paddock mucking
- Turn horses out in pastures, move among pastures and barn
- Ensure horse barn, pastures, water troughs, and surrounding areas are cleaned and maintained
- Horse care: feed, brush, apply halters, fly masks, blanketing
- Facilities Maintenance (fencing, gates, doors, water faucets, etc.)
- Yard Maintenance including mowing, weed eating, watering
- Pet care when owners are out of town
- Irrigation/Watering
- Tree trimming
Job Requirements include:
- Must be drug free
- Clear background check
- Good communication skills
- Ability to lift 25-100 lbs.
- Ability to twist, bend, kneel, and climb, and use hand tools
- Work is primarily outdoors. Terrain is hilly
- Must safely operate a tractor/mower, Must have valid drivers license and transportation.
