This is an immediate position that requires an individual who is self-motivated, hardworking, punctual, reliable, and responsible. Must be able to take direction as necessary. We are looking for the type of person who will be given daily tasks and responsibilities but will also be able to self-delegate tasks during the slow portions of the day.
The responsibilities include, but not limited to cleaning stalls (9-16 stalls) & facility, handling the horses. Stalls are matted, and we provide quality, back saving wheelbarrows. The horses are pleasant to work around and clients are friendly.
This position is part-time (estimated 25 hours per week), 4 – 5 days a week flexible hours. Looking for someone who could preferably take some weekend hours. We pay $2.50/stall cleaned.
All applicants must be over the age of 16, applicants under the age of 18 must be able to complete a work permit. Must have a dependable mode of transportation. Must be able to lift 25 – 50lbs on a regular basis, and the ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Prior horse and/or barn experience is desired, but not required. We are willing to train any employee in any or all of your assigned duties.
Duzan Riding Academy is a 23-acre facility located approximately 20 minutes from Delaware, Dublin, Powell, and Marysville, Ohio. We are a primarily hunter/jumper and hunt seat equitation lesson and boarding barn. Our facility includes a single 32-stall barn, indoor and outdoor arenas, 6 paddocks and a round pen.
This position is at an Equine Facility. Employees must work in all temperatures and weather conditions. The environment is dusty. A heated break room and lavatory are provided.
