South Ponderosa Stables
Howdy y’all,
We are looking to add two people to our team out here at South Ponderosa Stables. I’ll make this short and sweet, it’s all pretty straight forward.
First, no pets allowed. We have a concession with the city, this is non-negotiable.
Second, the job is LIVE-IN. You will live here. Rent-free, meals are paid for, wifi, water, utilities, all included as an employee. We have a separate house for the wranglers at the stables and the boarding employees.
Now that that’s out of the way, the job descriptions are pretty straightforward.
As a wrangler, your duties include all the work associated with horses. Brushing, picking hooves, saddling, feeding, etc. You are also a tour guide, you will ride a horse and lead our guests through the mountain. Tips are YOURS. You only share with other wranglers on the same ride. Tips are good. Pay is $1,000 a month, plus room and board, plus tips. There is room for raises if you stay with us.
As a boarding associate, you will muck out the stalls, clean water troughs, and feed the horses. At the moment we have 12 horses at the board barn. Easy work. Pay is $1,000 a month, plus room and board, plus tips when you ride at the stables.
NO FELONIES! Do not apply unless you have a clean record. You will only be wasting your time.
We are very much a family here. We cook. we eat, and we hang out together. We have all been together for over 4 years at the least. This place is for those who want a life closer to nature, hanging out with horses, and staying away from the LinkedIn style of life. We like pickleball, golf, going to the lake in the summer, and running this place like an actual team, not how a corporate office likes to make it seem!
