Housekeeper needed at Ranch Retreat in Texas

Moon River Ranch is a destination resort rooted in authenticity, hospitality, and a strong sense of place. The resort offers thoughtfully designed accommodations, a standalone restaurant, and banquet and private event experiences including weddings, retreats, and seasonal gatherings. Our goal is to provide warm, personalized service that reflects the character of the ranch while delivering a refined guest experience.

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Housekeeper to help maintain a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our guests. This role is responsible for ensuring guest accommodations and common areas meet the ranch’s high standards of cleanliness and hospitality. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, enjoys working independently, and is committed to creating an exceptional guest experience.

Job Duties

• Clean and sanitize guest cabins, cottages, rooms, and other lodging accommodations.
• Make beds, change linens, replace towels, and replenish guest amenities.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, and disinfect assigned guest and common areas.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, showers, tubs, and mirrors.
• Remove trash and dispose of waste according to company procedures.
• Restock housekeeping carts, supply closets, linens, toiletries, and cleaning products.
• Inspect rooms to ensure they are guest-ready prior to arrivals.
• Clean common areas, including offices, restrooms, meeting spaces, event venues, and guest facilities.
• Report maintenance concerns, damaged property, or safety hazards to management promptly.
• Follow all cleaning procedures, safety standards, and proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Protect guest privacy and maintain confidentiality while servicing occupied accommodations.
• Assist with laundry duties and deep-cleaning projects as needed.
• Respond professionally to guest requests and communicate concerns to management.
• Perform additional housekeeping-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping, hotel, resort, hospitality, or vacation rental experience preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to consistently meet attendance expectations.
• Positive attitude with a strong focus on guest service and teamwork.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests, coworkers, and management.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, push, and perform physical cleaning tasks throughout the workday.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
• Weekend availability is required. Candidates must have a flexible schedule and be willing to work weekends, holidays, and other peak business periods as needed.
• Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments and adapt to varying weather conditions.
