Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Hunting Guide and Ranch Maintenance Specialist to join our 5-star hunting operation. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in the ranching and wildlife industry. The ideal candidate will have a diverse skill set, including hunting guide experience, general knowledge of fishing and boat maintenance, landscaping, irrigation repairs, and more.
Responsibilities:
- Hunting Guide Services:
- – – Guide clients on hunts for exotics, whitetail deer, dove, quail, turkeys, and predators.
- – – Ensure a high-quality experience for clients in a 5-star hunting operation.
- Fishing and Boat Maintenance:
- – – Provide general knowledge and assistance with fishing activities.
- – – Perform boat maintenance as needed.
- Landscaping and Irrigation Repairs:
- – – Conduct landscaping tasks and repairs to irrigation systems.
- Feeder Management:
- – – Fill feeders using truck and trailer.
- Heavy Equipment Operation:
- – – Operate heavy equipment for wildlife habitat management and planting food plots.
- Irrigation Systems for Food Plots:
- – – Manage irrigation systems, including pivots/cannon systems and valve changes.
- Horse Management:
- – – Perform stable cleaning and maintenance.
- Whitetail Deer Management:
- – – Work in breeding facilities for vaccinations and artificial insemination.
- Firearm Safety:
- – – Ensure firearm safety for shotgun, pistol, rifle, and archery ranges.
- Repairs and Maintenance:
- – – Conduct repairs on fences, water lines, and electrical systems.
- – – Perform outside maintenance of all facilities.
- – – Clean and maintain all aspects of the ranch.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a hunting guide with knowledge of various game species.
- General knowledge of fishing and boat maintenance.
- Experience in landscaping and irrigation repairs.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment for habitat management and food plot planting.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems for food plots.
- General knowledge of horse management and stable maintenance.
- Experience working with whitetail deer in breeding facilities.
- Strong understanding of firearm safety protocols.
- Ability to perform various repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Excellent communication and client interaction skills.
