We are looking to hire a dynamic hunting operations + Ranch Assistant Manager to join our company Cedar Cove Ranch (www.CedarCoveRanch.com). In this role, your duties will include coordinating daily hospitality activities and hunting operations, working with other staff members, and adhering to a high level of customer service. You will report to GM and work under his guidance.

If you DO NOT have previous experience working at a ranch, or hunting lodge, you may NOT be the right fit for this position.

To ensure success in this role, you should have an exceptional understanding of the hospitality industry and display an aptitude for customer service. Ultimately, a top-notch candidate should have excellent managerial skills and the ability to communicate with personnel and customers effectively.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Primary Responsibility:

  • Guide Hunts and other guest related items
  • Lead activities such as shooting sports, water activities, UTV rides, fishing and more!
  • Manage hunting grounds
  • Manage and plan food plots
  • Manage and maintain blinds, cameras, feeders, other hunting equipment
  • Manage animals and necessary items

Other responsibilities:

  • Maintaining a high standard of customer service according to company operating procedures.
  • Attending to any complaints by guests in a professional and timely manner.
  • Planning, organizing, and managing the daily hospitality operations to ensure efficiency.
  • Work under guidance of general manager and lead hospitality services with support of other staff members and communicating the importance of customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure all amenities are maintained at the highest standards
  • Coordinate with housekeeping
  • Support with any guest services needs on-site
  • Support tours
  • Coordinate meals with caterers and plan guests itineraries
  • Set up for events and weddings
  • During non-busy times, support with other ranch foreman tasks – grounds management, hunting blinds/stands management, game camera upkeep, or support small projects
  • Ranch Foreman type of work is also required in such role, when necessary

Requirements:

  • Someone with strong hunting professional background (hogs, deer, exotics)
  • Fishing and other shooting sports experience is required
  • Bachelor’s degree in wildlife or hospitality management, or relevant field is preferred
  • At least 3 years of experience working in the hospitality industry
  • Exceptional knowledge of standard hospitality practices and procedures
  • Ability to be proactive, lead, motivate, and communicate with staff members.
  • The ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to perform simple handy man work
  • Heavy Lifting required
  • Ability to operate equipment listed above in job description
  • Using Chain Saw
  • Working in summer/winter doing manual labor
