As general manager of the BigWoods you will be responsible for creating and maintaining a customer-operation with a vision that inspires all BigWoods employees to do their best and provides BigWoods guests with an outstanding hunting experience.

As the BigWoods GM you will wear many hats, superb organizational skills are must. – Strong leadership and management skills, and demonstrated ability to motivate staff and establish work standards and expectations for self and others; appropriately assesses contributions and performance of employees; provides appropriate recognition, and deals with problems as they arise. Instills in others a sense of pride in the job at hand. – Ability to manage and address guest concerns, responds promptly to guest needs, solicits guest feedback to improve service. Business Responsibilities – Create and meet budget goals for ranch operation – Promote BigWoods visibility to the public and develop marketing campaign through social media and print – Manage all bookings, reservation requests and payments at the BigWoods – Manage and update website as needed – Assist with management and execution of Black Gumbo Retriever hunt tests –

Comfortable navigating Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and QuickBooks Get Your Hands Dirty Responsibilities – Supervise general ranch operations – this includes hiring, training and supervising workers, managing third party contractors and vendor relationships – Monitor and maintain condition of fences, blinds, feeders, structures and roads – Manage detailed harvest logs of animals taken (hogs, deer, ducks) throughout the year and report to animal wildlife agencies as required by regulation – Familiarity with operating heavy farm equipment – Familiarity with digital photography is a plus though not required.
