We are a family farm with a position open immediately for calving help and fencing help. While this position is seasonal, we could discuss it becoming a longer term job. Right now, you would need to be able to tag and band calves, and watch for (and handle) calving problems. You would also need to be able and willing to repair barbed wire pasture fences, some of it in rough and rugged territory. If you have your own horse, we would love to discuss your bringing it with you. Many of our fence lines are only accessible by horseback. We also like to move cows by horseback.
You must be willing to help wherever needed, even with dirty or unimportant tasks. You will need some experience in fencing and calving already. The ranch is a smoke-free workplace. We pay a monthly salary which depends on experience, and housing may be possible with good references.
