County Line Feeders is hiring a Lead Cowboy for their 15,000 head finish feedyard in Gothenburg, Nebraska. The Lead Cowboy’s main responsibilities will be effectively leading the team and managing the hospital.
Compensation & Benefits Lead Cowboy:

Lead Cowboy Job Duties:
- Communicate daily schedule and goals with the team
- Communicate shipping and receiving schedule
- Plan and organize projects that need completed around the yard and make sure tasks are being completed properly and on schedule
- Managing the hospital and follow treatment protocols
- Work closely with the PAC Veterinarians
- Manage medicine inventory and ordering supplies
- Help create and implement new hospital protocols to help improve cattle health
- Manage processing schedule
- Post dead’s
- Ride pens and pull sick cattle
Lead Cowboy Schedule:
- Monday – Friday 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Every other weekend 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM
The Lead Cowboy must have an acceptable driving record as reflected by MVR. A CDL is not required.
