Private furnished fifth-wheel housing is provided on our property in Larkspur, Colorado. We ask that the person living in the fifth wheel treat it as their own home and keep the interior and surrounding area clean and well maintained.

Responsibilities

  • Daily feeding and care of our German Shepherds
  • Cleaning and maintaining kennels and dog areas
  • Exercising and handling adult dogs
  • Whelping litters and providing hands-on care for the mother and puppies from birth through the puppies’ go-home period

  • Dependable, trustworthy, and responsible
  • Comfortable handling large German Shepherds and caring for newborn puppies
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule when needed, particularly during whelping and while caring for newborn litters
  • Willing to live on-site
  • Physically capable of performing normal kennel and animal-care duties
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Must be able to pass a background check

Previous experience with dog breeding, whelping, kennels, veterinary care, dog training, ranch work, or other animal care is preferred. However, we are willing to train the right person or couple who has a genuine love for German Shepherds, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn.

A company vehicle is provided for all work-related transportation. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

This is much more than simply a kennel-cleaning position. The right person will become an important part of our breeding program and the daily care of our dogs, mothers, and puppies.

Future partnership opportunities may also be available for the right person who becomes a long-term and trusted part of our breeding program.
