We are a boarding/sale barn located in Oley, Pennsylvania.
Live-in position
Riding videos are required
Our goal is to offer a beautiful facility to the community for them to safely and proudly keep their fur babies at and utilize our amazing amenities. We pride ourselves in the full care of not only our horses but theirs as well with a very clean and safe environment.
Our second goal is to purchase horses we can get looking beautiful, healthy, fit, and riding again. Once we feel they are back at their peak again we send them back into the equestrian world looking for great homes and jobs.
Your goal is to help keep this lovely 4th generation family business thriving. You will help keep the stables clean and in getting these beautiful babies back riding and in tip top shape.
*****If you are not an advanced rider but can clean stalls and turnout horses we have a weekend job for you as well. *****
Skills needed
- advanced rider
- horsemanship
- knowledge of ground work, flatwork, desensitization, suppleness, balance, and collection or (willingness to learn this)
- patience, we do not cowboy our horses
- knowledge of horse health (such as signs of Colic, lameness, soreness, nutrition, hooves, etc. Or (willingness to learn)
- incentive to do things and run on your own
- keeping Stables clean, helping clean Stalls, dragging arenas
- turning out and handling of horses including boarders
- working with horses getting them to their full potential as rideable horses and help selling them
- ability to work as a team player as you will be working with another trainer consecutively training and exercising multiple horses a week.
1 bedroom apartment and utilities is included with wifi and cable. Sorry we do not have room for personal horses.
