About the Role
We are seeking a dependable, hands-on person (preferably couple) to care for a beautiful private family ranch and rental property.
This role is ideal for a capable, multiskilled person/couple who can keep the property clean, organized, functional, and ready for the owner and guests.
You should be able to:
- Daily care and feeding of two horses, chickens and barn cat
- Take care of houses, barns, fences, cabins and general property maintenance including wildlife mitigation
- Fix and troubleshoot basic plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and equipment problems. Work with contractors when a repair is beyond your ability
- Landscaping skills for maintaining ornamental gardens around main houses and cabins
- Operating equipment, including a mower, chainsaw and a tractor
- Maintaining trails and cleaning up trees and branches after storms
- Running the day-to-day ranch and employee schedules. Keeping a weekly worklog
- Prepare main house and cabins, so they are ready for the owner and guests.
- Provide housekeeping for Main House and Cabins and/or supervise cleaner
- Maintain vehicles, UTVs, tractors, generators, pumps, and tools
- Help maintain orchard and vegetable gardens. Work with professional Gardener who oversees garden. Help with harvest and processing
- Keep everything clean, organized, and ready to use
We want someone who is dependable, organized, mechanically inclined, a problem solver and not afraid to work with their hands.
A couple is preferred, particularly if one person has strong maintenance and mechanical skills while the other can help with organization, housekeeping oversight, guest preparation, and general ranch duties.
Ranch experience is helpful but not required. Experience in construction, maintenance, mechanics, property management, farming, catering or related fields may also be a strong fit.
Manager/Handyman Compensation Package:
$75k Salary plus, Benefits. House with fenced-in yard plus utilities included
