Elk Heights Ranch
Red Tractor Project at Elk Heights Ranch is slowly forming something uncommon: a small rural community centered around hospitality, stewardship, horses, creativity, and meaningful living.
We are looking for the right person to join the growing small intentional rural community in a flexible live/work role that blends:
- Host 4 unit Air B&B
- equine oversight and boarding coordination
- grounds stewardship
- community presence
The Setting
Elk Heights Ranch sits in the Cascade foothills near Cle Elum, Washington. The property includes:
- boutique log guest suites
- horse facilities
- ponds and open pasture
- forest access
- and a growing community of entrepreneurial and creative people helping shape the future of the ranch
The primary B&B operation is fun, rewarding, and easy to do.
Ideal Fit
You may be a strong fit if you:
- love horses and rural living
- appreciate beauty, order, and calm environments
- are naturally nurturing without needing drama or control
- want affordable/simple living in exchange for meaningful contribution
- are semi-retired, self-employed, remote-working, or creating a new chapter in life
This could be especially attractive for:
- equestrians
- wellness practitioners
- artists or writers
- someone rebuilding life after burnout, divorce, or major transition
The Opportunity
Possible components of the arrangement include:
- private barn apartment housing
- percentage for hosting
- per-room compensation for B&B cleaning support
- horse boarding privileges
- flexibility to pursue your own work or passions
Current compensation concepts include:
- additional compensation for hospitality support ($60 per room turnover)
- housing and/or horse accommodations exchanged for stewardship responsibilities
Most importantly, we are looking for the right human fit. Someone who values trust, kindness, initiative, and the possibility of helping shape something meaningful over time.
TO APPLY:
If this resonates with you, send a note about yourself, your background, and what draws you toward this kind of lifestyle. Photos are nice.
