We are seeking an exceptional husband-and-wife (or family) team to become the long-term caretakers and operators of a beautiful private ranch near Houston, Texas.

This is more than a caretaker position. We are looking for people who will take pride in operating and maintaining the ranch as if it were their own. The ideal couple enjoys country living, is highly self-sufficient, and possesses a broad range of skills spanning ranch management, property maintenance, gardening, hospitality, and animal care.

Primary Responsibilities

Estate & Grounds Management

• Maintain the entire ranch to an exceptional standard every day.
• Operate tractors, brush hogs, zero-turn mowers, UTVs, and other equipment.
• Mow, trim, weed eat, maintain landscaping, roads, trails, and common areas.
• Inspect and repair fencing.
• Maintain irrigation systems and overall property appearance.

Buildings & Maintenance

• General carpentry and handyman work.
• Basic plumbing repairs and maintenance.
• Basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
• Light welding and fabrication.
• Preventative maintenance on cabins, barns, shops, and ranch infrastructure.
• Minor mechanical repairs on equipment.

Organic Garden & Farm-to-Table Operations

Help build and maintain a thriving organic farm that supplies fresh produce to the ranch and its guests.

Responsibilities include:

• Planning seasonal crops.
• Planting, cultivating, irrigating, and harvesting vegetables, herbs, fruits, and flowers.
• Maintaining soil health through composting and sustainable practices.
• Managing raised beds, orchards, greenhouses, and irrigation.
• Producing fresh, high-quality produce year-round whenever possible.

Ranch Market & Farm Stand

Operate and maintain the ranch’s on-site farm store, offering fresh products grown and produced on the property.

Products may include:

• Fresh vegetables
• Fruit
• Eggs
• Honey
• Herbs
• Homemade jams and preserves
• Seasonal flowers
• Other farm-to-table products

The ideal team will help keep the market stocked, attractive, organized, and inviting for guests.

Livestock Care

• Daily care of horses, cattle, chickens, and other ranch animals.
• Feeding, watering, cleaning pens and barns.
• Monitoring animal health.
• Maintaining fencing and shelters.

Hospitality

• Prepare and clean guest cabins.
• Maintain outdoor gathering areas.
• Ensure guests always experience a beautiful, welcoming property.
