Have you ever wanted to live on a ranch, ride horses, be around pristine wilderness, and experience the life of cowboys and cowgirls? Then Stagecoach Trails Guest Ranch has the position for you.
We are looking for a family friendly individual who wants to experience ranch life with the primary duty of babysitting a sweet and vibrant 21 month old girl. We seek someone who can provide her care in a safe and supportive manner. Daily tasks include playing with her, changing her diapers, feeding lunch, taking her for walks/stroller rides, giving her baths, giving her afternoon nap, cleaning up after her, and all-around daily care for a toddler while mom is helping on the horse rides. Engagements with her should promote age appropriate learning, creativity, and social development. Occasional tasks may include morning wakeup routine, and tidying up the house.
Experience in childcare of some sort is preferred and a patient/kind demeanor is required. CPR and first aid certification is also preferred. She is a fairly advanced and very well-behaved toddler who loves to walk around, practice her words, and see the daily happenings at the ranch. She enjoys playing with her toys inside the house and playing in the dirt and hay outside as well. Most people describe her as smart and active. The position would often involve being in the manager’s house with the child but also around the entire ranch and in their own accommodation too if desired. The parents are always on site and are just a step away if the need arose. We are a family-owned and operated ranch so most of the staff live on the property. Therefore, inclusion into the family and other coworkers is a necessary process towards being content and successful.
The season is cyclical so some days are slow and others are busy. Therefore other ranch tasks can be provided for additional hours during slower times or as desired; such as: meal prep, dish washing, housekeeping, laundry, etc.
Perks include use of the ranch facilities, horse rides available subject to scheduling, internet access and good cell reception, and a family-oriented atmosphere.
Pay is salary plus room and board.
