Part-time help wanted for care and maintenance of small acreage..
Duties would entail:
-
- Feeding horses, cleaning /changing stalls and waterers, keeping barn clean and tidy.
- Turnout and rotation of horses depending on weather. Stack/move hay and shavings, unload feed.Other animals care and feeding.
- Grounds maintenance and improvements, including mowing/edging lawns, fertilizing, building and fence maintenance, Watering dragging arena when needed.
- Pasture maintenance, seeding, dragging, fertilizing. Weed control (weed identification) including spraying of herbicides and pre-emergent.
- Rodent and insect control, gophers, wasps, hornets, etc.
Required Skills and Attitude:** MUST have:
- Experience in handling horses, and operating machinery such as Tractor, bobcat, spray booms, brush hog, zero turn, etc.
- Skilled in the use of small tools as well.
- Knowledge of landscape upkeep and maintenance
- Hard working self starter, organized and detail focused
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and start/complete tasks and duties
- Effective and efficient time management and communication skills
Qualifications
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Must be able to pass background check
- Valid Driver’s license
- Must be able to lift and carry 50+lbs
- Must be able to work without supervision
- Have own reliable transportation
- Ability to do basic repairs and maintenance on equipment
