Stepping Stone Farm
Looking for someone able to work part time on weekends up to 18 hours a week. Saturday Sunday all day 7am to 5pm with a 1 hour lunch break 12pm to 1pm. Can be broken up into am/pm shifts.
Must be willing and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Must have a way of getting to and from work with reliability.
Must have prior equine experience of some sort.
Responsibilities will include:
- Turning horses out and bringing in
- Feeding and setting grain
- Administering medications to horses when needed
- Grooming 10-15 horses thoroughly.
- Cleaning stalls (dumping scrubbing and refilling water buckets, Hay, sweeping aisles) depending on the day you will be responsible for 10-14 stalls.
- Throwing hay down from lofts and stacking.
- Fence repairs
- Field maintenance
- Indoor and outdoor ring maintenance
There can be riding opportunities (based on experience).
This is mainly a boarding barn. We expect professional and safe work practices from our employees and we take care of our employees in return. Zero tolerance for drama and poor work ethics.
